Day 3 - Can anyone say "Pool Party"?

So, we invited a few friends over today. Say about 16 kids and their parents. Only a couple, really. Grandma and Grandpa were on their way home from Utah, only to find a whole lot of people in their backyard - including the pool man. I didn't invite him, I swear!

We had a lot of fun though. It was just what the kids wanted to do. Swimming at grandma and grandpa's house, In-N-Out for lunch, and lots of friends over to play with. This is what summertime means to us!

Reminder though - next time put LOTS of sunscreen on Chad's cheeks!

I just wanted to say hello from Texas. We are in Austin for the summer for Danny's internship at Dell Computers. We're having a lot of fun and we hope to get a full time offer from them. Congrats on the new baby and stuff, it's fun to peek in every so often to see what you guys are up to. I have joined to tech revolution as well and have a blogspot at dpthatcher.blogspot.com if you'd like to see what we are up to. We are coming to Cali probably just as you are leaving, but have a great time anyway.

It sounds like you are having a great time in sunny California! I am happy to hear that you arrived safe and sound! Did you hate the Grapevine? I swear that is the worst part! I love your blog, and reading it makes me miss you all so much! Hurry home! I know you are having a blast, but when you drive home, you will be amazed at how green everything is here! You will breathe in the fresh clean air, and be happy to be home. I promise! I survived my 8th year of girls camp... and yes we were rained on all week. YUCK! But, I keep saying each year that it is my last... however, I did commit to going back next year! You know me... I can't say no to something I believe in! Annie is in for 4 more years, so I predict that is my timeline I will follow. We are now onto wedding plans. OH joy! :) Shannon, will you help me remodel my bathroom? Just kidding! I will put you and Heidi to work setting up the reception the night before... if that is OK? It will be really fun! I swear! Cooper got out of his cage, and when Jon got there, he had pooped on the floor and was out of water. Jon got things cleaned up, and rigged him back into the cage. He is going to go back today and take him on a huge long walk. He says he is the sweetest dog. But he has human poo's. haha Have a great day. Hurry home. I miss you all very much! Kisses to the kids! Love, Susie
